"The British people are "the boss" and if they have concerns about immigration "I will fix it", David Cameron has said. The Prime Minister said fears over immigration were "not unreasonable" and will be "at the heart" of any renegotiation of Britain's relationship with the European Union. Jose Manuel Barroso, the outgoing President of the European Commission, told Mr Cameron that his plans to cap migrants coming to the UK from Europe by limiting the number of national insurance numbers available to workers are illegal and that Britain would have only a "marginal influence" in global affairs if it quit the European Union" Read it all: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/immigration/11174475/British-people-are-the-boss-and-they-want-action-on-immigration-says-David-Cameron.html I'm not against immigration but the fact that many people in this country are and David Cameron is willing to do something about it is a tick in my books. Bringing us out of the EU is not going to do any favours apart from give us more control of our own country. You might think that is good but we also cannot exclude ourselves from foreign affairs as the UK (much like the US) is quite influential. My mum has the view where we should bring us the draw bridge and tell everyone else to go away but I personally think that if a country (say Syria) is having problems then the UK should get involved as no one else would. What are you views on this? |

I know the U.S. is having a lot of problems with immigration. Me, being primarily Republican, believe that it should be stopped and illegal immigrants should be deported. Obviously, that sounds a bit harsh but in my view there are hundreds of thousands of potential U.S. immigrants from other continents (primarily Africa) who are going through long, tiresome immigration programs to try to get into the U.S. and Mexicans are doing it by just running across the border. And then the fact that Obama is letting some stay kind of irritates me . But anyway, I don't think it would be good if Britain left the EU. Considering that Britain is one of the most influential members of the EU it would be a great loss on the EU's part and could be the start of a series of EU breakaways.

I have to admit, is leaving the EU really going to bring anything good? Sure, Farage has a lot of reasons to do so, but then again, he is Farage, and other leaders have reasons not to leave. I do agree that the EU is getting too large now. When it was a collection of powerful countries, it worked. Now, with a greater number of countries, it is no longer the case, especially for trading. Whatever happens, the UK will either get something good out of the EU, or leave. I'm not going to judge on that yet. |

This comes after the point when the No Camp (Lead by Westminster) said that in the event of a Scottish Independence all polish workers would have to leave? I wouldn't trust that man with a single foreigner let alone a country of them. England like to shit-stir all the time (the relationship between us and Argentina and the falkland isles) |
